Idea Thesaurus #22 is now available for download!
On Tuesday, it will be exactly 6 months since my first write-up on Malibu Boats. During this period, MBUU is up 27.0%, while its closest competitors, MCFT and MPX, are down -13.6% and -8.9%, respectively. The goal for the average write-up is to outperform both the S&P 500 and Russell 2000 on a relative basis and achieve a 20%+ IRR on an absolute basis.
Currently, the average write-up has been live for just ~2.5 months, with one temporary blowup. Despite that, the other write-ups have more than compensated, resulting in outperformance relative to both indexes. With that in mind, it's time to hunt for the next big idea.
